Dependent Senior Citizen Restricted Membership is open to Members’ parents and parents-in-law who are at least 65 years old and reside permanently in the same household. Annual & Subscription Fee inclusive of prevailing Goods & Services Tax is as follow:

• Non-refundable annual application fee: $400.00 per annum per person
• Non-refundable monthly subscription fee: $75.00 per month per person

Terms and Conditions

A. Eligibility: The eligibility criteria will be as follows:

• The candidate must be the mother, father, mother-in-law or father-in-law of a Member of the Club in good standing
• The candidate must reside permanently in the Member’s household in Singapore.
• The candidate must be at least 65 years old.

B. Restrictions: Dependent Senior Citizen Restricted Members are subject to the following restrictions:

• They may introduce up to four guests to the Club at a time
• They may not vote at General Meetings
• They may not go on Absent Status
• They shall pay an annual and monthly usage fee in amounts fixed by the General Committee
• All charges will be linked to the main Member account.

C. Conditions: The following conditions will apply to election of Dependent Senior Citizen Restricted Members:

• Application must be submitted with proof of relationship to qualifying Member and proof of residence
• Application is subject to approval of the General Committee, processing time takes about 1 – 2 months
• This membership option is subject to a limited number as approved by the General Committee
• Member shall be responsible to settle all outstanding debts incurred by such Dependent Senior Restricted Member including any fees not paid by him/her
• The Dependent Senior Citizen Restricted membership is created for a period of one year, and will be renewed only upon approval of the General Committee

Junior Membership is open to Members’ children between the ages of 12 to below 25. Monthly Fee inclusive of prevailing Goods & Services Tax is as follow:

• S$20.00 (12 to below 21 years old)
• S$210.00 (21 to below 25 years old)

Parental Acknowledgement – Youth Code of Conduct for Junior Members Below 21

I, the undersigned Parent/Guardian, hereby acknowledge and confirm that:

1. I have read, reviewed, and fully understand the Youth Code of Conduct for Junior Members Below 21 of The American Club (“The Club”).

2. I have shared, explained, and ensured that my child(ren) have read, understood, and acknowledged all provisions of this Youth Code of Conduct.

3. I understand and accept that my child(ren)’s use of The Club facilities is a privilege and not a right, and that this privilege is directly linked to and derived from my membership with The Club.

4. I acknowledge that my child(ren) are required, at all times while on The Club premises, to:

• Abide by all Club Bylaws, Constitution, and House Rules
• Treat all members, guests, and staff politely and with respect
• Treat The Club’s property and premises with care, and that I may be held responsible for any damages caused
• Behave safely, appropriately, and dress suitably in all areas of The Club
• Use lobbies, entrances, stairways, and common areas only for their intended purposes, and not for loitering or play
• Refrain from bringing outside food or beverages onto Club premises
• Refrain from inappropriate public displays of affection
• Refrain from illegal activities, including but not limited to smoking, alcohol consumption, possession or use of illegal drugs, weapons, or other prohibited items

5. I further acknowledge and accept the guest-related obligations applicable to my child(ren), including that:

• Guest privileges are a privilege, not a right
• Junior Members aged 12–18 may introduce no more than two guests at a time
• Junior Members aged 18–25 may introduce guests only in accordance with the Constitution and By-laws
• The same guest may not be introduced more than once per month
  My child(ren) are responsible for the conduct and behavior of their guests, and misuse of guest privileges may result in revocation

6. I acknowledge that my child(ren) must not bring “nuisance items” (as determined by Management and/or the General Committee) onto The Club premises, and that such items may be confiscated immediately, with potential referral to the Disciplinary Committee.

7. I acknowledge that the Youth Code of Conduct represents general behavioral guidelines, is not exhaustive, and that my child(ren) are expected to exercise common sense and good judgment, and to seek guidance from Club staff or responsible adults when in doubt.

8. I understand and accept that any breach, depending on its frequency and/or severity, may result in disciplinary actions including, but not limited to:

• Reprimand for unacceptable behavior
• Verbal or written warnings, with Parent/Guardian notification
• Immediate removal from The Club premises for the remainder of the day
• Temporary or permanent revocation of the American Club Youth Card
• Suspension or revocation of some or all junior privileges
• Referral of myself and/or my child(ren) to The Club’s Disciplinary Committee

Terms and Conditions

In authorizing the issuance of the The American Membership card to the above named, I agree to comply with the following terms:

• The card will bear by Club account number and I will be liable for all the expenses incurred through its use, without dispute.
• I will inform The Club immediately in writing should the card be lost or stolen. In the absence of such a written report, I will continue to be responsible for expenses incurred through the use of the card.
• I will abide by all current rulings as well as subsequent rulings the Club may impose from time to time.
• I will be responsible for the good conduct of all Junior Dependent Members named above and any of their guests at all times while they are on Club premises.
• I hereby confirm that the information contained in this form is true and accurate.
